Selling Freelance Services in Thiès: The Proposal, Quote and Pipeline You Build

Digital Marketing

The verdict in three sentences

The course Selling your services: offer, quote and negotiation (level 2 Beginner, 50,000 FCFA, 10 h) does not just give you advice to read: it has you build your own sales kit, deliverable by deliverable. At the end, you have a three-tier offer, a price grid, a three-page proposal template, a compliant quote, your terms and conditions and a pipeline reviewed every Friday. For a Thiès freelancer who has already signed first clients, it is the move from discounted one-off jobs to a structured offer.

Who it is for, and what you need

In Thiès, many freelancers (community managers, designers, writers, video editors, website builders) work for downtown shops, private schools, transport companies or clients in Dakar. The scenario repeats itself: "how much?" on WhatsApp, a price sent, "it's expensive", a discount, then a job that earns almost nothing. The course Selling your services: offer, quote and negotiation, taught in French, starts from that situation.

Prerequisites: having taken level 1 ("Digital freelancing: landing your first clients") or having already sold at least one paid job to a small business, practising a digital skill regularly, a smartphone with WhatsApp Business, Google Docs and Google Sheets, and a Wave or Orange Money account. A NINEA tax ID is useful but not mandatory: quotes and terms work with the mention "VAT not applicable".

The deliverables you build, module by module

2. Value-based pricingPrice grid: tiers, subscription, options, rush fee, diaspora rate in eurosNo more improvised prices on WhatsApp
3. Discovery and proposalEight-question interview guide and qualification score out of 10Budget, decision maker and deadline known before writing
3. Discovery and proposalThree-page proposal template and detailed compliant quoteA proposal sent within 48 hours

5. Closing and trackingOne-page terms: deposit, revision rounds, file ownershipDeposit collected before starting
5. Closing and trackingGoogle Sheets or Trello pipeline with Friday review15 to 30 opportunities tracked weekly

Two projects are submitted: your three-tier offer and price grid (module 2), then the final project, your complete sales kit, from discovery to signature (module 5). The five modules contain 20 lessons of 12 to 18 minutes, each ending with an exercise applied to your own offer, plus a PDF handout and a quiz per module.

What the course costs, and what a tiered offer can change

Item2026 amountNote
Level 2 course50,000 FCFA (about 76 EUR / 83 USD), one-off10 h, lifetime access with updates
Full Freelance and digital entrepreneurship track350,000 FCFA instead of 450,0005 levels
Typical one-off job before25,000 to 75,000 FCFARange quoted on the course page
Standard tier of a tiered offer100,000 to 250,000 FCFAOrder of magnitude, Dakar and Abidjan
Monthly subscription75,000 to 150,000 FCFA a monthDepending on skill and niche
Monthly income with 2 to 4 active clients250,000 to 600,000 FCFAField estimate, no income guaranteed

These figures are 2026 orders of magnitude, depending on profiles: in Thiès, rates often sit at the lower end of Dakar ranges, and results depend on your skill and the number of prospects you meet. The course is level 2 of the Freelance and digital entrepreneurship track, before "Running your business: invoicing, taxes and cash flow" (level 3).

Mini case study

Consider a hypothetical learner: Fatou, 26, a community manager in Thiès who manages the pages of three shops at 35,000 FCFA per one-off job, renegotiated every month. During the course, she picks a niche (private schools in Thiès), builds a three-tier offer and sets a standard tier as a subscription at 75,000 FCFA a month (the low end of the quoted range). Illustrative calculation: if a single client moved from 35,000 FCFA one-off jobs to this 75,000 FCFA subscription, the difference would be 40,000 FCFA a month, and the 50,000 FCFA course would be covered in under two months. This scenario only illustrates the calculation: nothing guarantees that a client accepts the new offer.

FAQ

I took level 1. What changes here?

Level 1 gets you a first client with a simple offer and a one-page quote. This level 2, at 50,000 FCFA, helps you sell at higher prices and more often: three-tier offer, value-based pricing, three-page proposal, negotiation with trade-offs and a pipeline.

My clients in Thiès never sign contracts. Is that a problem?

No. Module 5 shows how to get a valid written agreement by WhatsApp or email that refers to your one-page terms, and how to collect the deposit before starting.

How much time should I plan?

About 10 hours, exercises and projects included, i.e. 2 to 3 hours a week for 4 weeks. Lessons are written, readable on a phone over 3G, with no app to install; there are no videos and no live classes.

Will the course teach me to lower my prices to sign more?

No, the opposite. When the budget falls short, you reduce the scope, extend the deadline or ask for prepayment, never lowering the price for the same work.

How do I pay and get the certificate?

You pay 50,000 FCFA by Wave or Orange Money at +221 77 596 93 33, and access is activated within 24 working hours. Read the free module 1 first, as access is not refundable once activated. After passing the quizzes at 70 % minimum, you receive a numbered Kolonell Academy certificate, verifiable via QR code, which you can add to LinkedIn; your final project must also be approved by a reviewer.
