Senegal UX/UI designer market in 2026: a maturing profession

The Senegalese UX/UI design market boomed between 2022 and 2026. Three drivers: accelerated digitalization of banks (Société Générale, BICIS, Ecobank, BOA, Orabank, Wave), e-commerce maturity (Jumia, Yas, Wave Commerce, Glovo) and the arrival of pan-African scaleups (Sendwave, Chipper, Lemfi, Yellow Card).

According to LinkedIn Talent Insights (April 2026), Dakar counts ~1,200 declared UX/UI designer profiles (vs ~480 in 2022). Welcome to the Jungle and JobInTree post on average 35-55 UX/UI openings simultaneously in Senegal in 2026.

UX Studio Dakar, founded 2021, contacted me in March 2025. The HR team wanted to structure its salary grid to stop turnover (32% in 2024). Here is the applied mechanism and the real market figures.
