Website redesign for a private medical clinic in Eindhoven: budget, timeline and risks (2026)

Websites

The verdict in three sentences

For a medical dermatology clinic in Eindhoven with more than one site, a redesign is mostly a local search project: each location needs its own page, its own Google Business Profile and exactly the same name, address and phone details everywhere. The build itself is the easy part; the risks sit in redirecting condition pages that already rank, keeping public forms free of health data and reviewing tracking tags before launch. Kolonell rebuilds the public site on a fixed grid (Starter EUR 2,700, Growth EUR 4,500, Premium EUR 8,200) in 3 to 4 weeks once content is ready.

Eindhoven patients search with a place in mind: a dermatologist near Strijp, a skin check close to the centre, an English-speaking clinic for staff of the tech companies and the High Tech Campus. Google answers those searches with the map pack first, then the website. Signals that the site, and not the profiles, is the weak point:

  • one generic contact page lists both locations, so neither ranks well on its own;
  • opening hours differ between the site, Google and the referral portals;
  • condition pages on eczema, psoriasis or mole checks exist only in Dutch, while a large share of local enquiries arrive in English;
  • the site still mixes medical dermatology with cosmetic offers from an old partnership, which blurs what the clinic actually treats;
  • practitioner pages omit BIG registration details.

What does a redesign cost over three years?

Build prices are a 2026 ballpark from typical agency quotes and public agency rate pages in the Netherlands, shown as midpoints of usual ranges. Maintenance figures are market assumptions for other providers, not Kolonell prices.

OptionBuild, ballpark 2026Maintenance per year (market assumption)Three-year total
Freelance developerEUR 4,500 (range 2,500 to 6,500)EUR 900EUR 7,200
Small Eindhoven studioEUR 12,000 (range 7,000 to 18,000)EUR 2,400EUR 19,200
Larger Dutch agencyEUR 26,000 (range 18,000 to 35,000)EUR 4,800EUR 40,400
Kolonell StarterEUR 2,700On quote after 3 months of supportEUR 2,700 plus maintenance on quote
Kolonell GrowthEUR 4,500On quote after 3 months of supportEUR 4,500 plus maintenance on quote
Kolonell PremiumEUR 8,200On quote after 3 months of supportEUR 8,200 plus maintenance on quote

Premium is the multilingual tier, with languages set in the quote; it is the usual fit for a Dutch and English clinic. Every tier includes a project manager reachable in your time zone, native English copywriting, delivery in 3 to 4 weeks once content is ready and 3 months of support. Online booking, patient portal, teledermatology and practice management connections stay on quote: we embed or link to your current vendor. The scope of each tier is on the international websites offer.

How should location pages and Google profiles work together?

Treat each site as a small landing page that matches its Google Business Profile line for line.

Profiles themselves are managed in your Google account. We prepare the categories, descriptions and links, and your team keeps ownership.

Which risks need a plan before go-live?

  • Ranking condition pages. Export URLs from Search Console and the CMS, mark the pages with impressions, write a one-to-one 301 map and test it on staging. Re-submit the sitemap on launch day.
  • Profile links. Each Google profile links to an old URL. Update both profile links the day the redirects go live, then watch for errors in Search Console.
  • Health data. A skin clinic form invites photos and descriptions of lesions. Public forms should collect name, contact details, location and preferred slot only. Images and clinical history belong in your patient system. Under the GDPR (AVG), health data is a special category, and the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens supervises its handling.
  • Tracking. Review analytics and advertising tags on condition and appointment pages with your privacy adviser before launch.
  • Claims. Medical dermatology pages stay factual and clinician-reviewed: no promised clearance, no before and after images unless your adviser confirms they are acceptable. This is not legal advice.
  • Accessibility. WCAG 2.2 AA contrast and text sizes matter for older patients attending skin checks.

Timeline: URL and location inventory 3 to 5 days, clinician review and Dutch content 1 to 3 weeks on the clinic side, Kolonell build 2 to 3 weeks on staging, compliance read 3 to 5 days, launch and two weeks of profile and Search Console checks.

Questions to ask, and when a local agency is the better choice

Ask: how will location pages match our Google profiles? Who updates the profile links on launch day? Which tags fire on appointment pages? Does the booking embed show the right location? Who owns the accounts afterwards?

An Eindhoven or Brabant agency is the better choice if you want ongoing local SEO with monthly on-site meetings, Dutch copy written by the same team, or photography and video of both locations in the same contract. A remote studio fits a clear public-site scope with content largely ready.

Mini case study

Illustrative example, fictional clinic. Dr. Maarten, dermatologist and co-owner of "Kempen Skin Clinic" (invented name), consults at two sites, one in the centre and one in Strijp. The current site has 70 URLs, 22 condition pages, one shared contact page and no English.

  • Kolonell Premium (the multilingual tier, languages set in the quote: Dutch and English): EUR 8,200.
  • Local photographer for both locations and the team, third-party cost: about EUR 900.
  • New URLs: 2 location pages per language, so 4, plus 22 English condition pages.
  • Redirects: 70 old URLs, 48 unchanged, 22 redirected.
  • Total: EUR 9,100, against about EUR 14,000 for a local studio build at EUR 12,000 plus EUR 2,000 of English translation, a difference of EUR 4,900.

FAQ

Do two locations really need two pages?

Yes. Each Google profile should link to a page about that site, so two locations in two languages means four location pages to build and keep consistent.

Can you manage our Google Business Profiles?

We prepare categories, descriptions and links for each profile within the build. Ongoing local search work is on quote, and your team keeps ownership of the profiles.

Which tier fits a two-site clinic?

Growth at EUR 4,500 suits a Dutch-only site. Premium at EUR 8,200 is the multilingual tier, with languages set in the quote, and fits a Dutch and English clinic.

Will patients be able to upload photos of skin lesions?

Not through the public site. Image uploads belong in your patient portal or teledermatology tool, which stays on quote and is embedded from your current vendor.

How long does the whole project take?

Kolonell needs 3 to 4 weeks once content is ready. Allow 1 to 3 weeks before that for clinician review, and two weeks after launch for profile checks.
