The verdict in three sentences

A Stockholm aesthetic clinic should plan SEK 90,000 to 350,000 (about EUR 8,000 to 32,000) for a redesign with a local agency in 2026, or EUR 4,500 to 8,200 on a fixed international grid, with booking work priced separately. Most budget overruns come from one sentence in the brief, 'online booking with deposits', which means very different things to different suppliers. Keep your existing booking tool, embed it, list deposits and consultation requests as separate lines, and protect every treatment and price-list page that already ranks with a 301 map.

Is it time to redesign, and why does booking decide the budget?

The usual signals in Östermalm, Södermalm or Kungsholmen: the site still shows a long price list per treatment while the clinic now prices after a consultation; the booking button opens a different-looking page that loses visitors on mobile; English-speaking international employees cannot find the same information as Swedish speakers; and treatment pages were written before the current rules on aesthetic treatments were reviewed by the clinic.

Booking is where quotes diverge. Below are the four options suppliers mean when they read 'booking', with a 2026 ballpark from typical Stockholm agency quotes.

Custom booking rebuilt in the siteNew calendar, rules and payments10,000 to 30,000Not advised on a fixed grid

Tools of the Pabau, Zenoti, Phorest or Fresha type already handle calendars, deposits and reminders. Rebuilding them inside a marketing site adds cost and personal data risk.

How do the redesign budgets compare?

Converted at roughly SEK 11 to EUR 1, rounded. Local ranges reflect typical agency quotes and public rate pages, not a survey.

Kolonell's grid starts at EUR 2,700 (Starter) and includes a project manager in your time zone, native English or French copywriting and 3 months of support. Swedish copy is supplied or reviewed by the clinic. Details are on the international websites page.

To compare quotes, ask each supplier to price the same six booking lines from the table above. A quote that says 'booking included' without naming the line is not comparable.

What are the redesign risks for a clinic, and how do you handle them?

Treatment and price-list URLs. Pages for skin consultations, laser, hair removal, fillers or injectable treatments may rank today. List every URL, decide which become consultation-first pages, and redirect each old price page with a 301 to its new treatment page. Check Search Console daily for 2 weeks.

Compliance review of every treatment page. Sweden has specific rules for aesthetic surgery and aesthetic injection treatments, including an 18+ age limit and supervision by IVO, and prescription-only medicines may not be advertised to the public. Treatment pages describe the consultation and the practitioner, never a medicine as a product. Practitioner names and qualifications are checked by the clinic, and the clinic's age policy is stated. Before/after images, testimonials or review widgets appear only where the clinic's adviser confirms they are allowed, with written consent and no editing. No promises of results, no superlatives, no vouchers pushing treatments. This is not legal advice.

Forms and data. Public forms collect name, contact and treatment of interest, nothing more. No medical history or photos in an open form. GDPR applies and IMY is the Swedish authority; tracking pixels on treatment pages are reviewed with the clinic's privacy adviser before go-live.

Timing. Launch outside the weeks before summer and before the December party season. Keep Google Business Profile hours and the booking link identical to the new site on the day of the switch.

You are :

When you want a full rebrand with photography in your own rooms, in-person workshops in Swedish, or a deeply customised booking journey built with the agency's own developer. If your clinic group runs several locations with shared clinic software, a local partner who can meet your operations team every week also makes sense.

Questions to ask: which of the six booking lines are in the price? Who writes the 301 map? Who checks treatment pages against the rules? Who owns the domain and analytics accounts?

Mini case study

Illustrative example, fictional clinic. Ljus Hudklinik is a skin and wellness clinic on Kungsholmen moving from a fixed price list to consultation-first pricing. Its current site has 38 treatment and price URLs, in Swedish only.

  • Kolonell Premium (the multilingual tier, languages set in the quote): EUR 8,200.
  • Embedded booking widget and consultation request form: on quote, two separate lines.
  • Third-party cost: freelance Swedish health copy reviewer, 25 pages at EUR 55 per page (market assumption) = EUR 1,375.
  • Total before booking lines: 8,200 + 1,375 = EUR 9,575, against a local agency quote of SEK 220,000 (about EUR 20,000).

Deposits stay in the clinic's existing booking tool, so no payment code is built on the site. Monthly care: market assumption of EUR 90 per month; Kolonell maintenance after the 3 included months is on quote.

FAQ

Should we take deposits on the website?

Take them in your booking tool, linked or embedded. Building deposits into the site itself typically adds EUR 1,500 to 6,000 and more data handling.

What happens to our old price-list pages?

Each one gets a 301 to the matching treatment or consultation page. For 38 URLs, building and testing the map takes about 1 to 2 days.

Do we need English?

Many Stockholm clinics see a share of international employees. Premium covers several languages set in the quote; a common start is 100 % Swedish and the 15 main pages in English.

When should we launch?

Pick a quiet period, often late January to March or early autumn. Allow 3 to 4 weeks of build once treatment content is approved.

Can the agency write our treatment pages?

Yes, but the clinic's medical lead approves each one before go-live. Plan 1 approval round of 5 working days per batch of 10 pages.

Let's scope your project. Send us your URL list, languages and the booking lines you need, and we will confirm the tier, list what stays on quote and propose a quiet-season launch date. See the international offer or request a free quote: detailed reply within 48 hours.
